Scroll Compressor – Double-Row Angular Contact/Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Features: These bearings are used respectively in the synchronizer of the scroll compressor’s orbiting and fixed scrolls, as well as on the crank at the front end of the main shaft. Due to the unique structural characteristics of scroll compressors, axial displacement must be tightly controlled. Single-row deep groove ball bearing

It is the most typical structural form among rolling bearings and finds wide application. In addition to supporting radial loads, it can also accommodate axial loads in both directions. With a low friction torque, it is ideally suited for applications requiring high-speed rotation, low noise, and minimal vibration.

Angular contact ball bearing

They are primarily used in high-speed rotating applications with relatively light loads and can withstand combined radial and axial loads. When installed in pairs, angular contact ball bearings can handle combined radial and axial loads, with the radial component being dominant, and they can also accommodate purely radial loads. In a tandem arrangement, they can only support axial loads in one direction, whereas the other two arrangements can accommodate axial loads in either direction.

Cylindrical roller bearing

Cylindrical roller bearings are line-contact bearings. They offer high load-carrying capacity and primarily support radial loads. The rolling elements experience low friction against the raceway shoulders, making them well suited for high-speed operation. Depending on whether the rings are equipped with shoulders, they can be classified into single-row cylindrical roller bearings—such as NU, NJ, NUP, N, and NF—and double-row cylindrical roller bearings—such as NNU and NN.
